Nashville’s top restaurants and food and drink artisans came together Tuesday night at Tennessee Flavors to support the Nashville State Community College Foundation. The room was filled with tables representing both Nashville’s up-and-coming restaurateurs as well as familiar faces. With over 700 guests in attendance, there was a constant buzz of excited chatter as each attendee bounced from table to table, sampling Nashville’s most delectable bites.
Our friends at Frothy Monkey had a beautiful array of cheese. Some creamy, some soft, and some hard, cheeses served with bread from their bakery were sure to please all of our palates.
After sampling the Goo Goo Cluster dessert (perhaps we snuck more than one!), we washed it down with Jackson Morgan’s Southern Cream Salted Caramel Liqueur. Our minds went wild thinking of ways we could combine this liqueur to make inventive new cocktails.
Chef Luke and Sous Chef Marisa loved answering guests’ questions about Moto's chicken pâté offering. The chefs at Moto devote such creativity to their dishes and enjoy sharing their thoughts behind each artful combination of flavors chosen.
In perfect accord with the first signs of Spring weather, Saint Añejo offered refreshing ceviche and classic chips and guacamole. We are all counting down the days until we can sit on Saint Añejo’s patio and sip margaritas under the warm Nashville sun.
Having gained such prominence on a national stage, the Nashville food scene is ever-growing and ever-changing. It is refreshing to see our local communities come together for events that celebrate the art of food and drinks, all for a great cause!
